KGDC Policies

Dear Parents:

Welcome to KGDC! Your child is now a part of a special gymnastics program that promotes motor-skill development, coordination, and self-confidence through basic gymnastics skills. Our goal for your child is to reach his/her potential. Through research, we are constantly working to improve our programto meet your child's needs.

We do ask that you know and follow a few basic rules and policies:

1. Children should be ready for class on time, properly dressed, shoes and socks off, hair tied back, no gum, and no jewelry.
   
   
2. Safety — No children are allowed in the gym unless supervised by an instructor. Students wait in the lobby for their class to be called.
   
   
3. Please pick up your child on time. While waiting for parents, children must stay inside the building at all times.
   
   
4. Parents and spectators are welcome to wait in the lobby or view the class from the upstairs viewing area. We ask that you refrain from "coaching from the sidelines." It is a distraction for the children and we need their full attention while they are in class. If you have a question or any comments, please set up an appointment with your instructor outside of class time.
   
   
5. Children not participating in class must wait in the lobby or the upstairs viewing area.
   
   
6. Missed classes can be made up in another similar class.
   • Arrangements must be made in advance at the front desk, by phone or by email to guarantee your preferred make-up time.
   • Students who arrive for amake-up class without making prior arrangements will be allowed toparticipate only if there is room in the class.
   • Class must be made up within the session it was missed.
   • We do not pro-rate for missed classes.
   • No refunds will be made on monthly fees for withdrawal from class.
   
   
7. KGDC observes the OLATHE SCHOOL DISTRICT snow days for all classes that meet prior to 4:00pm. Classes that meet at 4:00pm and after WILL MEET unless you are notified by a KGDC instructor. If you have questions, call 764-8282 and listen to our phone message.
   
   
8. If your child is too sick to attend school, please keep them home from KGDC. Call the office to schedule an appropriate make-up time.
